15U goes 2-2 at NM Knockout Challenge

This past weekend the 15U Boys team played in the NM Knockout Challenge at the Connecticut Sports Arena. Their first game of the day was against Hoop Express a victory by the score of 58-34. EBB’s next game was a defensive gem as they defeated CSA Velocity 85-49. In the their next game they faced a tough New York Wizards team, which defeated them 43-39 setting up a rematch in the Championship Game. The Championship Game was hard fought with EBB coming back from being down 17, eventually losing by 4 42-38 after cutting the lead to 2 points. Congratulations to EBB for doing a great job this past weekend!!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend the 14U EBB Boys team played in the Jr. Hall of Fame New England Championships and put on a show in their pool. EBB started off the day with its first test against a tough Newburgh Panthers team from New York. In the end, EBB prevailed 58-47 in this battle between Connecticut and New York. EBB played their next game came against the highly touted Team 10. EBB disregarded the reputation of Team 10 and proceeded to defeat them 70-48, putting on a defensive show. Staying with their defensive theme, EBB applied constant pressure to its next opponent The Gym Ratz out of New Jersey, defeating them 54-28 and then on to the Quarterfinals, despite being plagued by injuries to 3 (Marcus Goss, Melvin Floyd III and Rondell Bothroyd)of EBB’s key players. In the Quarterfinals they faced a tough Massachusetts Shooting Stars team and in the end despite spectacular efforts by Isaiah Williams (17 points), DeAaron Lawrence (17 points)Isaiah Gaiter and Michael Brooks (huge on the boards)it wasn’t enough as they fell 62-48 to end their weekend 3-1 overall. Congratulations on another successful weekend by Education before Basketball!!!!!!!!!!!
