This weekend the 15U of EBB played in the Hall of Fame Spring Classic at Holyoke Community College and played their hearts out!!!!!!! Their weekend started off with a victory over Mass Fusion by the score of 49-30. Their second game was against United a team from New Jersey. EBB put on a defensive showcase, constantly pressuring the United team into turnovers that led to easy baskets and a 62-38 victory. In their third and final game against a tough Running Rebels team they fell short, despite the great efforts by Rafael Cruz (fouled out)Jaden Oliveras, Donovan Torres, Dayquan Singletary and Jordan Pearson losing by a score of 53-46. EBB 15U continues to improve with every game and I am very proud of them!!!!!!!!

On May 3-4 the EBB 14U Boys team played at Rhode Island College and again put on a show to bring light to the Education before Basketball Program. Their weekend started with EBB displaying its defensive aggressiveness against the first 2 teams they faced. The first game was a 65-38 victory over the NE Blizzards. The second game showed EBB’s defensive dominance pressuring the CT Cobras from start to finish winning handily 62-5 to end their games on Saturday. Sunday was a little tougher as they faced a tough hard playing NE Blizzard and in the end EBB prevailed in this tough battle 50-48 setting up a rematch in the semifinals. In the rematch against NE Blizzard EBB clamped down and played their style of play being aggressive on the defensive end and in the end prevailed 55-40 and on their into the Championship Game against the Stamford Peace. In the Championship Game EBB couldn’t find its groove and the Stamford Peace was consistently hot from the perimeter hitting 70% from the 3 point line and running away with the game by a score of 58-38. EBB continues to work hard every tournament improving from week to week. Next stop Hall of Fame Spring Classic in Springfield, MA.
