This weekend again was another test for the EBB 14U team as they played in the Hall of Fame Spring Classic at American International College in Springfield, MA. Their weekend started with a tough test against a very talented Brockwood Elite from Canada. EBB hung tough, but the strong and talented team from Canada prevailed 57-37. EBB’s second game of the day was also a tough test against a scrappy NE Storm with EBB prevailing in this one 59-52. In their third game they face the Staten Island Vipers and in the end of this hard fought battle the young men from EBB prevailed and moved on the semifinals against Team Providence. In the fourth game of the weekend EBB locked in on defense and limited Team Providence to just 25 points winning by a score of 69-25 with Isaiah Williams soring 27, 15 of his 27 coming from the 3 point stripe. Now it was on to the Championship Game against the Wiz Kids from New York. In the Championship Game EBB held on to a slim lead until Isaiah Williams (17 points) went out of the game with a injury to his thigh. Wiz Kids exploited this despite outstanding performances from DeAaron Lawrence (21 points)and Isaiah Gaiter (controlling the boards leading to high percentage shots for EBB)and went on to take the game 66-56. EBB 14U has been several Championships Game this season and continue to grow every weekend. I am very proud of the EBB 14U young men!!!!!!!!!!
