Education Before Basketball will be participating in the Greater Hartford Pro-Am Youth Showcase at the Doc Hurley Field House 415 Granby Street Hartford,CT. this weekend. Our scheduled games are at 9:00 and 11:30 Saturday(Court 1).Sunday’s game is at 9:00(Court 1).

Education Before Basketball is proud to have the support of parents that care about their young men growing. That was clearly evident this weekend in Rhode Island and throughout the season.They have helped to reinforce the importance of doing your best and working hard in the classroom and on the court!!!!!!!! As the Director of Education Before Basketball I am proud to have you as a part of the EBB family!!!!!!!

Education Before Basketball played in the Rhode Island Breakers(Breaker Challenge)this weekend and posted its 1st Championship of the season. EBB started off Saturday morning a little sluggish and fell behind 20-9 to the Cape Cod Eclipse. EBB then dug in on the defensive end and went on incredible run to win 48-37. The 2nd game was against the New Jersey Gym Ratz. Again EBB set the tone with its defensive aggressiveness and won the game 64-39.The third game on Sunday was for the 12U Championship against the well coached,aggressive Mass Premier. This defensive battle went back and forth and was decided on a and 1 by Juan Torres and the great defensive efforts of Rafael Cruz, Malcolm Moye and the spark to it all Jaden Oliveras.EBB came out with the hard fought victory 28-26.With the steady point guard play of Isaiah Williams,Jaden Oliveras and Adam Zak we were able to overcome shaky starts in 2 of the 3 games to come out as Champions!!!!!!!!Thank you to Keith Kendall-Bey,D’Andre Ayala,Melvin Floyd III,Deon Elmore Jr.and Calhoun Sowell III for playing their roles in helping EBB to the Championship.Great job of coaching Coach Rich Williams and Deon Elmore Sr.!!!!!!!!

Education Before Basketball will be playing June 4th-5th at Rhode Island College 600 Mount Pleasant Avenue Providence, R.I. 02908. We will be staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Providence/Warwick Airport 2100 Post Road Warwick,R.I. 02886. Education Before Basketball 1st game is at 11:45. The 2nd game is at 1:55(both games are on court 5). Sundays game will be played at 9:35 on court 3. All games will be played at
the college’s recreational center. I have reserved the rooms already. You can take care of everything at check in time.

Education Before Basketball had the pleasure of having a special guest tonight. Ronnell Monts a student at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting chose Education Before Basketball as the subject of his class project. He wanted to find a program that exactly stressed the importance of education and athletics,while giving our youth a safe environment with positive and caring adults.We proudly welcome Mr. Ronnell Monts to the EBB family.
